My name is Ryan Fugit. I'm a Veteran from the post-9/11 era. I was an AH-64 Apache pilot for seven years and served alongside true heroes in Afghanistan.
After the military, I spent eight years in the CIA's Directorate of Operations, often supporting warfighters indirectly from another foxhole.
I now fly a desk in the private sector and miss the camaraderie and relationships forged in uniform. I envy those still serving.
Veterans have unique and remarkable stories from combat that deserve to be told. Too often people don't understand the sacrifice and pain that many Veterans endured. Vets often go to the grave without ever having shared their stories with family and others.
Although I'm no longer in uniform, I love hearing stories from fellow Vets who served in any branch and any theater.
